The weight of broken promises and the sting of being ghosted by people I thought I could rely on have been heavy burdens to carry. Yet, amidst the chaos, my responsibility to the seven dogs under my care remains non-negotiable. They rely on me, and I refuse to let them down. A few weeks ago, I lost my wallet, along with my bank cards and phone. It was a moment of sheer panic, one that made me realize just how vulnerable I am here. Without those essentials, I've had to depend entirely on the kindness of my Thai friends. They’ve stepped up in ways I never could have imagined, allowing me to transfer money to them so they can withdraw it and give it to me in person.
